The St. Regis Venice, a beacon of luxury and refined taste, has unveiled new artwork from talented artist, Gregor Hildebrand as part of their artist in residence program, and its new collection of bespoke Murano glass chandeliers, created in collaboration with the world-renowned Berengo Studio. This momentous occasion marks the hotel’s continued commitment to promoting contemporary art and enriching its curated art collection.
The hotel, located along the Grand Canal, is pleased to welcome German artist Gregor Hildebrandt as its new artist in residence. Hildebrandt’s captivating “Series of Cinema Icons,” custom-made for the hotel’s Gran Salone, celebrates the interplay between music, cinema, and art. Made entirely of cassettes, each represent a season and are adorned with portraits of iconic actresses symbolizing Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. The timeless beauty of Magda Schneider, Zooey Deschanel, Nadia Sibirskaïa, and Mylène Demongeot grace the walls of the Gran Salon, inviting guests into a realm of cinematic nostalgia and artistic immersion.

As part of their ongoing partnership with famed Berengo Studios, the hotel’s Monet Suites now showcases three distinctive chandeliers, with Italian artist Andrea Anastasio’s “9-5” masterpiece taking center stage, complemented by two exceptional creations from Swedish artist Marie-Louise Ekman. The colorful designs were carefully chosen to match the contemporary residential style of the suites and the stunning views. The Monet Suites, named after French painter Claude Monet, who stayed at the Grand Hotel Britannia in 1908 and painted from that very spot, are filled with soft, warm Venetian light that has attracted artists to Venice throughout history.
